Florida and the RNC

Wow, we are really are here!

Lots of people, lots of milling about, lots of speeches...

Still more speeches...

Ahh, a break from speeches.  It was so fun to play in the ocean.

Brian playing in the waves.

Didn't want to leave the beach...very fun, hope to be back some day.

Me and Paul are tight.

The balloon drop and we are done.

Silly picture. We were trying to make it look like I was walking with them.  I had a journalist come and take pictures...hope I never see them.

The Art Museum. I was thrilled to see a few Monet paintings!

A very interesting tree in Petersburg Florida

Two little love birds sitting in the tree k-i-s-s-i-n-g!

Check it out, a Monet!

This was pretty much the extent of the hurricane that we got. A lot of wind, but not too bad.

Annual Family Camping Trip to Alturus

Canoeing at Red Fish Lake.  Because of the fires it was very smoky.

The Sand Monster!

The Sand Angel!
Brian and I went on a hike by ourselves (girls don't like 9 mile hikes...weird) to  beautiful lake. Oh and the bulge in my shirt is water bottles. We froze them and tried to thaw them on the way up.  We finally had water about the time we got back.

Brian won't let me live down that he came prepared for bears...I mocked him. In the end, we saw a bear!

Brianna found a perfect perch to read a good book.

Elizabeth hanging out at the stream near our cabin.

It's marshmallow time!

You never know what you will be asked to do in our annual game of, Dare or Dare.

Clear blue water, not so clear sky. But a beautiful day!

Family Reunion 2012 at Heidi and Paul's house.

At the pool with Grandma and the grand kids.
Gavin (I think) the stunt man.
The non-swimmers.

Brian looking good!

Charity, the not so graceful cartwheel dive.
Just chillin...not sure Hayley and Heidi are happy?

The cutest babies!!

Travis the amazing jump off twist and dive.

Rustin wins the diving contest hands down!  Look at that form. Who knew he was such a gymnast?

Lake Powell

We had a Chinese Exchange student with us for a few weeks.  Her name is Lui, and her American name was Destiny.

We went to Lake Powell with Lisle and Chad and Chad's bother Daniel and their family along with his sister-in-law and husband.  Even though we had a lot of trouble with boats, we still had a wonderful time!
Who's driving this boat?

This is Captain Lydia, who is the cutest captain I've ever seen!

We took advantage of the slide that was on the boat. Elizabeth perfected the backward jump

Ta-da!

Brian got 9.2 on this dive.

Kai had a famous front flip

Brianna...nice toe point!
The blondies.  Annie, Lisle and Lydia. We loved watching Lisle's feet flop around on the bumps.

It is a beautiful evening on the boat.

Annie had such funny faces after she would jump in the water.

Three fish.
Kristen on the knee board. Sorry we don't have pictures of Kristen and Chad's tubing ride. Chad fell off and catapulted Kristen 6 feet into the air.

Brian with Annie and Lydia.
Relaxing on the boat.
We all went to Hole in the Rock, but Lisle and I got brave and wanted to hike a little further. Brian had to accompany us for a picture shoot.

Not quite to the top...to hot.
Here are the stairs the military carved? I think. They came later then the pioneers.

Wish we could have gone all the way, but at 100 degrees, we were like fish and couldn't stay out of the water too long.
